A light and bright modern shaker style kitchen with luxury natural stone benchtops sets the scene in this beautiful kitchen renovation we completed in City Beach. Our client’s home had undergone a significant remodel to modernise their home’s layout; yet retain the beautiful characteristics like wooden floors, ceiling roses and decorative cornices.
Shaker cabinetry was the natural choice for this kitchen renovation, of which Polytec Hamptons Profile in Classic White was selected. The hero in this kitchen is the beautiful Lorde White honed marble benchtops that creates exceptional texture and interest in this design. It’s always a treat to design a kitchen with natural stone as it creates an individual and distinct look for your kitchen.
This kitchen was designed with contrast in mind. We have white cabinetry and light benchtops contrasting with dark floors, a luxury black Falcon Nexus freestanding oven; all finished off with matt black handles, sink and tapware. The fridge/freezer and dishwasher in this kitchen are fully integrated so as to keep these items concealed behind cabinetry so the focus is on the overall design elements of this kitchen. Another consideration for this kitchen was for it to be a social place for entertaining. The island has been designed specifically to have an overhang on three sides to have it double as a seated dining space also. One of our favourite features in this design is the concealed doorway to the laundry room which is in fact the tall cabinetry door to the right of the oven.
